Simultaneously Power Your Appliances
The CSA-listed, CARB- and 50-State-compliant HW1000i comes equipped with a four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled Honeywell OHV engine that produces 900 rated watts of continuous power--plenty of juice to keep a range of appliances and electrical devices up and running. With this handy device, you can simultaneously power cordless phones, laptops, lights, radios, TVs, and electric fans. You can also individually power other items, including microwaves and desktop computers.

Offering an output of 120 volts, the HW1000i is an inverter generator, so it provides clean power and quiet operation. Also, this four-stroke unit requires only unleaded gasoline and oil. It will run for five hours when the 0.71-gallon tank is full, making it a great option for all your recreational needs. And at just 31 pounds and with built-in handles, it's easy to move and store.

Efficient and Easy to Use
The HW1000i is exceptionally easy to use and comes equipped with Smart Start Instructions to assist with fast starts. To help ensure trouble-free operation, an indicator light will illuminate, and the unit will completely shut down in low-oil conditions. An overload protection indicator light helps preserve the life of the HW1000i, and an economy mode allows you to save fuel and further reduce running sound.

The HW1000i is backed by a two-year warranty.

Jim Said: OK for occasioal use ( Aug. 15th 2010 )

I compared the HW1000i ($325) to my Yamaha ef1000is ($800)

The HW1000i had a greater surge power than the Yamaha but the fuel efficiency was poor, combined with the smaller fuel tank it required me to fill the tank twice as much as the Yamaha.
The HW1000i tended to stall and even die with no apparent reason.
The HW1000i will not interfer with AM radio reception like the Yamaha.
The HW1000i gas vent broke the first week and had to be replaced.
3 screws fell out of the cover of the HW1000i.
For short term occasional use the Honeywell is a good choice because of the price.
I have my concerns about the Honeywell lasting very long, as the quality control at Honeywell is very poor.
I will bet the Honeywell is built in China and all the products I have bought from China lately have been absolute junk.

jb_sb13461 Said: It Works ( Aug. 10th 2010 )

Small light weight generator that works. A good choice for running a few lights and recharging a camper battery, which is why we purchased it. Not as quiet as the Honda but close.

mtaylor6 Said: Great product ( Aug. 6th 2010 )

Used this generator on recent camping trip for three days in a row and it worked great.

Moderately Happy Said: Moderately Happy Honeywell Owner ( Aug. 2nd 2010 )

I own 2 Honeywell 1000i generators. They both receive about 20h of use per week in a light commercial setting (auto detailing; max amps is 3). One runs perfectly and I've never had a problem with it. The other is a pain in the..... It requires many pulls to start, dies unexpectedly requiring frequent restarting, won't idle, the eco mode doesn't work and so it runs at max rpm the whole time and the breaker is finicky on it and often pops (even when the tool in use is 3 amps).

I am pleased with the first generator, pretty displeased with the second. The sound for both is reasonable, as is the weight/compactness. Sure, the Honda/Yamaha are better, but they are $800/$700. And probably accordingly better. For $400 you get what you pay for, but next time I'll save up and get a Yamaha for $700 and omit all the hard starting problems that I have.

Great little Generator would say no one will be upset with it. It's real Quality in a small package
