Question #3:
GETTING READY FOR ECONOMIC CRISIS! ANY MORE IDEAS?
So what can we each individually do to somewhat insulate ourselves from the economic problems that are coming?....1 - Get Out Of Debt: The old saying, "the borrower is the servant of the lender", is so incredibly true. The key to insulating yourself from an economic meltdown is to become as independent as possible, and as long as you are in debt, you simply are not independent. You don't want a horde of creditors chasing after you when things really start to get bad out there.
2 - Find New Sources Of Income: In 2010, there simply is not such a thing as job security. If you are dependent on a job ("just over broke") for 100% of your income, you are in a very bad position. There are thousands of different ways to make extra money. What you don't want to do is to have all of your eggs in one basket. One day when the economy melts down and you are out of a job are you going to be destitute or are you going to be okay?
3 - Reduce Your Expenses: Many Americans have left the rat race and have found ways to live on half or even on a quarter of what they were making previously. It is possible - if you are willing to reduce your expenses. In the future times are going to be tougher, so learn to start living with less today.
4 - Learn To Grow Your Own Food: Today the vast majority of Americans are completely dependent on being able to run down to the supermarket or to the local Wal-Mart to buy food. But what happens when the U.S. dollar declines dramatically in value and it costs ten bucks to buy a loaf of bread? If you learn to grow your own food (even if is just a small garden) you will be insulating yourself against rising food prices.
5 - Make Sure You Have A Reliable Water Supply: Water shortages are popping up all over the globe. Water is quickly becoming one of the "hottest" commodities out there. Even in the United States, water shortages have been making headline news recently. As we move into the future, it will be imperative for you and your family to have a reliable source of water. Some Americans have learned to collect rainwater and many others are using advanced technology such as atmospheric water generators to provide water for their families. But whatever you do, make sure that you are not caught without a decent source of water in the years ahead.
6 - Buy Land: This is a tough one, because prices are still quite high. However, as we have written previously, home prices are going to be declining over the coming months, and eventually there are going to be some really great deals out there. The truth is that you don't want to wait too long either, because once Helicopter Ben Bernanke's inflationary policies totally tank the value of the U.S. dollar, the price of everything (including land) is going to go sky high. If you are able to buy land when prices are low, that is going to insulate you a great deal from the rising housing costs that will occur when the U.S dollar does totally go into the tank.
7 - Get Off The Grid: An increasing number of Americans are going "off the grid". Essentially what that means is that they are attempting to operate independently of the utility companies. In particular, going "off the grid" will enable you to insulate yourself from the rapidly rising energy prices that we are going to see in the future. If you are able to produce energy for your own home, you won't be freaking out like your neighbors are when electricity prices triple someday.
8 - Store Non-Perishable Supplies: Non-perishable supplies are one investment that is sure to go up in value. Not that you would resell them. You store up non-perishable supplies because you are going to need them someday. So why not stock up on the things that you are going to need now before they double or triple in price in the future? Your money is not ever going to stretch any farther than it does right now.
9 - Develop Stronger Relationships: Americans have become very insular creatures. We act like we don't need anyone or anything. But the truth is that as the economy melts down we are going to need each other. It is those that are developing strong relationships with family and friends right now that will be able to depend on them when times get hard.
10 - Get Educated And Stay Flexible: When times are stable, it is not that important to be informed because things pretty much stay the same. However, when things are rapidly changing it is imperative to get educated and to stay informed so that you will know what to do. The times ahead are going to require us all to be very flexible, and it is those who are willing to adapt that will do the best when things get tough.
If there was ever a time in the modern era to start growing food--it is NOW. The world-wide financial melt-down is destined to bring with it hyperinflation and food shortages. Aquaponics is our answer. Aquaponics is a hybrid technique combining the best of aqua-culture (growing fish) and hydroponics (growing veggies without soil), and it’s completely organic because the fish waste is your natural fertilizer and that means no pesticides. Aquaponics USA is dedicated to sharing information, developing products and bringing awareness of this life sustaining technology to every American home because it’s time Americans declare their Food Independence.

Question #4:
Flash text in websites. Is it readable by search engine?
I need to know that if I write my text out in a text generator as flash, that when I load this text onto say a blog site that it will still be readable by the search engines.I'm having problems with text theft. I read up about changing all my photos to flash so that they couldnt be lifted. I have some html page lock thingy now so that no-one can right click and take text or photos. (See I've become paranoid!) Now I want to use my own fonts and load them in as flash.
Will this work?
Because if it will it will solve all my problems (Because I've now stopped giving the whole information on site-now they need to join and get emails=sad!)(Yes I know about hot linking the text and photos back to my page=great idea but I dont want them to have my stuff in the first place(especially MY photos!))(and i know they can take photos of the screen with a digital camera and hand write it if they're desperate enough)
So, is flash text readable by the searchengines on a blog page?
Thankyou.
Question #5:
Are you a true Foo Fighters fan?
When it comes to the Foo Fighters, a lot of people just listen to their radio hits. That pisses me off, Foo Fighters have so many awesome songs. Songs like Floaty, My Poor Brain, Burn Away, M.I.A, Headwires, Exhausted, Wattershed, Overdrive, Have It All, Free Me, Hell, Home, Cold Day In The Sun, Gimme Stitches, Generator, etc.If you're a real Foo Fighters fan, then give me your opinion of what you think is their most underrated song.
If you're just a fan who only listens to their radio hits, give them a chance!

What am I doing wrong with this code?
When you select the button that says "Browser", it makes a prompt come up that says "What's your browser". I want an alert box to come up with the information about that browser when you enter the name of it into the prompt. How do I do that? Because when I enter in the name, the prompt box just goes away when I select "OK".<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" " Click Here ;

Question #9:
Help with random function on calculator and calculus?
Ok so the function sin(pi/x) oscillates rapidly between -1 and 1 near the point c = 0.Here is the problem, and let me tell you ahead of time, I have NO idea how to take advantage of 99% of the things my calculator can do. So...here is the problem presented to me
"Your calculator has a command that generates random numbers between 0 and 1 (on TI 83 press Math, and choose rand in the PRB menu). Devise a scheme that uses this random number generator to reduce the chances of you choosing an unlucky pattern of evaluation points in the numerical investigation of a limit. Your scheme should meet the following requirements:
- It produces a list of evaluation points that 'over all' are progressively closer to 0. By that we mean, while it is not necessary for each number in the list to be closer to zero, than the preceding ones, as you progress down the list of numbers listed get arbitrarily close to 0.
- At each step the number the calculator produces is the next evaluation point on your list. ( Generating random numbers until you finally get one smaller than all those previously generated doesn't meet this requirement. If you are clver, you can arrange to get successive evaluation points by pressing the ENTER key repeatedly'
Ok so, im sitting here saying to myself 'wtf, ive never been taught how to manipulate a random generator and make it work to my benefit. when was I taught that? never....so I've been playing around with it trying to come up with some way to make each output get closer to 0, I've tried things like sin(pi/rand) and then after getting that random number, doing sin(pi/'previous answer') but nothing i try makes each answer closer to 0. Does anyone have any advice for how to go about doing this? and if at all possible try yourself and see if you can get it to work, because ive gotten a few answers and none of them seem to work yet : /
Question #10:
A generator creates a 90-Hz alternating current. How many times does the current reverse each second?
Question #11:
is hurricane earl gonna hit suffolk county, long island?
my parents are up and down but im not sure anymore i dont wanna work to pack up my yard and set up my basement for a "sleepover" if we arent gonna get anything we already spent hundreds in supplies (food, a generater, and a chainsaw idk y a chainsaw) so will it hit if so what time and day, what catagory will suffolk get wind and rain and thuder? i kinda want it to ome but my dad made us pack cuz "hurricanes cause tornados then get in the basement" so now i got a bag of m fave stuff in the basement with the generator beds, tv and a fridge filled with 100s in foodQuestion #12:
Why the exciter rotor winding burning?
We are having 375KVA generator, it is building up rated terminal voltage also. The DC supply carrying wire to the alternator rotor burning frequently before. After replacing that wire now exciter rotor winding is and burningQuestion #13:
please help calculate the final temperature, resistance windings 250ohm?
the resistance of the field winding of a generator is 220ohm at 20degree celsius. After the generator has worked for a period, the resistance of the windings is 250ohm.The windings are wound with copper wire.Calculate the final temperature of the winding.Question #14:
What will the haters of victims of Katrina say if Hurricane Earl wipes out parts of N.C.?
And as many people die there that died in New Orleans? Will they say "oh too bad, they should have left before the hurricane came" like they said about the victims of Katrina? Many people in N.C. and other places where Earl is said to be paying them a visit, are saying that they're not leaving. They're at the Home Depot and other places buying generators and flashlights and batteries etc, and are going to ride it out dead or alive. Dummies in N.J. said on the news that they're looking forward to Earl. Like the dummy surfers who can't wait to ride the waves, and even older people said that they are "ready for Earl". And this is a "category 4 hurricane". Wow."Who" you ask? Many of the racist idiots right here have that's who. Saying that those poor (mostly Black Americans) in the lower wards "should have heeded the warnings and got out". Most of them had nowhere to go to just like people in other parts of the country White and Black etc. And people (even the government) underestimated Katrina, and didn't think she'd be that fierce and tough. But as you say, you should NEVER underestimate a hurricane or a tornadao or anything that Mother Nature will win against man. Man can't touch Mother Nature, but he's always trying to beat her.

Question #18:
Why don't girls ever listen to me?
About two years ago, I wanted my girlfriend to learn more about propane and propane accessories. I'll tell you what.So I brought her down to the children's hospital, a place where I volunteer, and I made her fill up the generators with propane and not oil, because propane is more efficient. I told her constantly to be careful, but she ended it up doing it wrong and burned down the Children's Hospital, they all died.
Question #19:
Generator vs Inverter for power all day?
I am starting a business selling drinks from a ice-cream type truck. These trucks are actually empty DHL delivery trucks that I have converted over short of hooking up the machines for power. I have 4 machines each on 3 trucks and 2 machines on a cargo van. Each machine is 10 amps and need 110 volts to power them not 240. I don't know if that's start-up amperage or constant amperage. These machines are Slurpee type machines that you would see in 7/11 store or QT gas stations serving frozen drinks. I am wondering what would be the best solution to power the machines to run basically all day. The trucks are gas powered, not diesel. I am not so worried about the cost of gas to run the trucks all day if using an inverter, just trying to figure out which method would be the most sensible in providing all day power and long term usage. If I do use a generator how should I install/mount it on or in the vehicle? Also, who or where could I get them wired to do such? It seems like no one knows anything about the topic yet there are plenty of ice cream trucks and motor-homes traveling the USA which are using one or both methods, I just can't seem to find anyone who knows how or where to get it done. I asked the question before and am not getting a solid answer either way, so wanted to try again and see if someone can be a little more specific as to which source of power would be better suited. I have the room to do either in each vehicle. Also, what about back-up batteries, automatic engine start/stop switches, batteries in series/parallel, size of inverter or generator. I know I'm asking a lot but trying to get the most and best info, thanks to any who can help.Question #20:
