Question: how do you build a HHO generator?

( Back )

Answer #1:

It's all a big scam!

Yes, you can electrolyze water to H2 and O2 (which is not HHO) which is a very explosive mixture. Yes, you can inject it into your car engine to gain a little bit of power increase.

But it will take several time the power for the electrolysis than you gain as a power increase.

just a big scam.

Answer #2:

billruss is right, the amount of gas produced by one of these cells by the power your car battery can provide would be sucked up by the engine vacuum in seconds and produce a vacuum in the cell. Most of these kits include an electronic device to alter the signal from the O2 sensor which raises the gas mileage a little, which alters exhaust emissions so that the car may not pass a smog test in the states that require it and will damage the catalytic converter.

Answer #3:

All working HHO Generators will do one thing: They will split H2O into separate atoms of Hydrogen and Oxygen.

How does this save gas?
Here's a very simple explanation that even the two chowderheads before me here can understand. =D

1. Your alternator produces around 14 volts when running.
2. Your battery takes 12 volts to stay charged.
3 Do the math, that's 2 volts left for whatever (including headlights, A/C, Stereo..etc). Even with all your appliances running, you at least have 1 volt left to spare that will otherwise just go to waste!

4. Use the 1-2 spare volts to turn water into Hydrogen gas and add more firepower to your engine that wasn't there before.

We have purchased and tested almost every HHO and H2 Generator on the web. The best ones (most efficient) contain a large series of +N-plates and a PWM to better control amp draw.
When tailoring a generator, you should be considering the volume in LMP that your vehicle will require to improve mileage.
